European Holocaust
The Holocaust is also referred to as Shoah, originating from the Hebrew for destruction. It was genocide, or more frequently known as mass murder, of over six million Jews, during World War II. The ruthless Adolf Hitler led the Nazi Party, which brutally killed the Jews.
Neither women nor Children were saved from the killings of the Nazi Party. If you were a Jew you could be killed in the mass killings. Over one million Jewish children perished in the Holocaust, as were approximately two million Jewish women, and three million Jewish men. The mass murders were held at over 40,000 fatalities in German y where they were used to hold and kill Jews.

Causes Of The Holocaust
The Holocaust was caused by prejudice against those who believed differently then one group. It started years prior to the Holocaust actually occurring. Early Christians did not approve of the Jews beliefs. Over time hatred grew for the Jews. Adolf Hitler, who shared the hatred, ultimately gained a leadership role within the Nazi’s and used his hatred to organize the mass killings.
While there was not one single event that caused the Holocaust it was a hatred for those that believed differently. It was that hatred, and the increasing leadership role of Adolf Hitler that was able to organize and execute the mass killings and torture of the Jews.

Chilling Deaths
Six to Eleven Million deaths is chilling enough. How many of these were killed was like they were no more than animals. When the Nazi’s first organized there was no set plan on how to kill the Jews. The Jews were headed like cows into ghettos within major Polish cities like Warsaw, and Lodz. The conditions were so bad that many perished because of disease , exposure, and starvation. This was used in Poland during most of the war.
Over time the killing squads would order Jews into town, telling them they were going to work. When the Jews get there they were told to dig holes. Then they would be forced to strip naked and get into the holes. They were then shot in the mass grave. The Jews ultimately had to dig their own graves.
While there were different mass destruction methods used the most common was the gas chamber. This started by the Nazi would use what was referred to as Gas vans. The Jews would go to the vans and a hose leading from the exhaust into the back compartment so that those inside would die from exposure. However it did not kill enough people at one time.
Over time six camps in Poland were deemed to be the primary locations for the deportations.

All
of the above camps used gas chambers that were connected to trucks in order to
kill using carbon monoxide poisoning. Each person that entered the chambers were told
they would be taking a shower, so they needed to undress. The gas chamber could fit between
340-2500 in one session.
